spring
In creating these three pieces, I found myself returning again and again to the quiet complexity of the turning season. Winter has always felt natural to me — its stillness, its clarity, its gentle sense of retreat but as well fun it offers. Spring, by contrast, feels less certain, more difficult to grasp. I realised I was not searching for its beauty in the landscape, but in the feelings that begin to surface as something shifts.
There is a tender hesitation in this passage from one season to another — a love for what is familiar, and a quiet openness to what is arriving. Through hope, anticipation, and farewell, the pieces trace this emotional movement rather than a literal one. They hold the subtle moment of transition, when beauty is not yet fully visible, but already deeply felt.
