A bracelet combining large iridescent rock crystal beads with individually handcrafted ceramic elements. Caustic patterns are engraved into layers of white and deep petrol-blue engobes, while the reverse of each ceramic element is left unglazed, allowing the natural texture of the clay to be felt against the skin.
Inspired by the changing perception of the body in water, Caustics explores the dialogue between sight and touch. One moment, the eye may be drawn to the luminous clarity of the crystals while the skin senses the warmth and texture of the ceramic; the next, those perceptions quietly begin to shift.
